Kimberly Zandi

MA, Theatre & Performance

Kimberly Zandi is a first year MA student in Theater and Performance with a concentration in Dance. She earned her BA at Buffalo State College. She began her early Cecchetti Method Ballet training with Tina Filipelli Certo in Lewiston, NY and continued her training under Beverly Feder and Jean Spear. Kimberly earned her Cecchetti Certification from the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance, London England. Kimberly has also studied in Toronto, Ontario at The National Ballet School. Here, she was coached privately by Alexandra Auld of The National Ballet of Canada. She performed with The Greater Niagara Ballet (formerly The Niagara Civic Ballet), and The Thousand Islands Festival Ballet. Kimberly specializes in staging classical repertoire and has recently staged La Bayadere excerpts, Tchaikovsky Pas de deux, Swan Lake excerpts, Les Patineurs, Stars and Stripes and Peter and the Wolf for The Buffalo Academy for the Visual and Performing Arts in Buffalo NY. She served on the faculty of the school as a guest artist in the dance department from 2013-2015. Kimberly currently teaches Cecchetti Method of ballet alongside Lisa Taylor at Lisa Taylor Academy in Buffalo, NY.
