UB Theatre & Dance Undergrads to Present at NCUR 2019
Congratulations to Associate Professor Maria Horne and the Fall 2018 Arthur Miller class. Theatre & Dance is excited to announce that four UB Students have been selected to present at the 2019 NCUR National Conferences on Undergraduate Research, the nation’s most prestigious gathering of student scholars from all institutions of higher learning and from all corners of the academic curriculum. Chosen from more than 4,000 submissions, these students will have the opportunity to present their work to their peers, faculty, and staff from all over the nation.
In addition, all seven of the students who submitted abstracts to the conference have been invited to participate! Through this annual conference, NCUR creates a unique environment for the celebration and promotion of undergraduate student achievement; provides models of exemplary research, scholarship, and creative activity; and helps to improve the state of undergraduate education.
The four accepted papers and authors are:
BASSETT, Emily. Title: “The American Lear: Family and Fiction; Universal Themes in Miller and Shakespeare’s Work”
BENEDETTO, Tylar. Title: “Women Pushing The Pen In Arthur Miller’s Work: An Analysis of the Impactful Women in Miller’s Life and Career”
VISONE, Louie. Title: “Elia Kazan’s Informant Hero “
ZAJAK, Gemini. Title: “Me Too/Him Too, Arthur Miller”
Additionally, Jasmeet AUJLA, Taylor BURROWS, and Jaimee HARMON have also been invited by NCUR to attend the conference.
UB Theatre & Dance congratulates these students on their achievement and the great honor they bestow on our department! This year, NCUR 2019 will take place on April 11-13 at Kennesaw State University.
