Theatre Technology (USITT) Comes to UB

SAVE THE DATE – Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 10 AM – 5:30 PM at UB Center for the Arts

The United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT) event will be hosted by the University at Buffalo Department of Theatre and Dance.  Join us to learn new skills and see the best of American stage design. USITT connects performing arts design and technology communities to ensure a vibrant dialog among practitioners, educators, and students.  USITT has selected the Department of Theatre and Dance for the prestigious honor of engineering and fabricating the exhibits that will represent the United States at the 2019 Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space (PQ ).

To share this honor, the University at Buffalo is pleased to host the USITT Upstate Regional Section Winter Event. The event will feature the world premiere of the USA national exhibits that are heading to the 2019 PQ, as well as several design and technical theatre workshops and an industry job fair. This is an excellent opportunity to be introduced to the Institute and to the best of American stage design.  Programming is accessible to all skill levels and lunch will be provided. Both USITT members and non-members are welcome to attend.
