Catherine Norgren - (Professor of Theatre): A member of United Scenic Artists, local 829, Catherine has recently designed costumes for: Actors Theatre of Louisville, Humana Festival of New American Plays; The Cleveland Playhouse; and Theatre for Young Audiences at the Kennedy Center.  Cathy has also worked with the Alabama Shakespeare Festival; North Carolina Shakespeare Festival; the National Shakespeare Company; Indiana Repertory Theatre; Virginia Stage; Vermont Stage; Pennsylvania Center Stage; The Arden Theatre of Philadelphia; and the former Studio Arena Theatre in Buffalo.

She has been a guest designer at a number of universities, and has served the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival (http://www.kennedy-center.org/education/actf/) in a number of administrative capacities for over 20 years.

She currently teaches in the Summer Intensives in Playwriting (for which she is also Associate Producer) at the Kennedy Center each July. Cathy teaches Introduction to Design (Visual Imagination) and Costume Design during the year. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude from Mount Holyoke College, and a Master of Fine Arts degree from Carnegie Mellon University.
