Robyn Horn comes to UB with twenty years of experience as an actor, director, and educator. Robyn has performed contemporary, classical and musical theatre in NYC and regional theaters across the country including Irish Repertory Theatre’s annual benefit musical-in-concert on Broadway, Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady at the Great Boston Stage Company (IRNE Best Actress Nomination) and Children of Eden at the Paper Mill Playhouse, for which she can be heard on the American Cast Recording. Robyn is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association.
Robyn taught theatre (acting, directing, playwriting and dramaturgy) at The Academy for Performing Arts high school in New Jersey where she was named the 2017 Teacher of the Year. For the NJ Dept. of Education, she served on the Theatre Standards writing team and the NJ Model Curriculum writing team. She was on the executive board of the Speech and Theatre Association of New Jersey and was a co-presenter at the NJ Teachers Convention. In addition to teaching high school, Robyn has taught in various capacities including teaching music for the very young, co-directing a playwriting camp for junior high students and working as Shakespeare teaching artist with undergraduate students.
Robyn holds a BA in Theatre from Kean University (summa cum laude) and a MA in English Literature from Middlebury College Bread Loaf School of English.
